Opening Process & Requirements

How do I open a UFC GYM franchise?

The process generally includes submitting a franchise inquiry, confirming your financial qualifications, meeting the franchise development team, selecting and approving a territory, signing your franchise agreement, and working with us on site selection, design, construction, training, and pre-opening marketing.

How hard is it to open a gym?

Opening any gym involves construction timelines, equipment installation, staffing, and permitting. Franchising reduces the complexity with proven systems, vendor partnerships, and hands-on operational support.

What do I need to open a UFC GYM?

Typically: adequate financial resources, an approved location, the required business licenses and permits, a staffing plan, and a marketing and membership-sales plan. Franchisees also complete brand training and meet UFC GYM standards.

How long does it take from signing to opening?

Timelines vary with permitting, construction, and site availability, but each location follows a standard franchise development timeline guided by our team.

Do I need prior fitness-industry experience?

No. Many UFC GYM owners come from business or entrepreneurial backgrounds. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing operational guidance.

Real Estate, Locations & Territory

Where can I open a UFC GYM?

UFC GYM is expanding across high-growth U.S. metro and suburban markets — including markets like Dallas — and internationally. Explore available markets or ask our team about territory selection.

How important is location?

Location is one of the biggest predictors of gym success. High-visibility sites with strong demographics, easy access, and good parking significantly impact membership growth and retention.

What are the size requirements for a UFC GYM?

It depends on the model — UFC GYM Signature runs 20,000–40,000+ sq ft, UFC GYM 8,000–12,000+ sq ft, and UFC GYM Jiu-Jitsu 2,000–3,000 sq ft. The franchise team can recommend the right footprint for your market.

How is territory defined, and are territories exclusive?

Territories are defined by population and market potential, and most franchise agreements include a protected territory to prevent brand overlap.

Due Diligence

What questions should I ask when buying a gym franchise?

Strong questions include: What is the total investment and ongoing fees? What support is offered before and after opening? How are territories defined? How involved will I be day-to-day? What marketing resources and training are included?

Do I need to have been a UFC GYM member to own a franchise?

No — you don’t need to be a current or former member. We do recommend experiencing a gym firsthand (classes, equipment, add-on services) so you fully understand the product, culture, and value of your investment.
